Community Engagement

As a medical university, we believe in promoting health awareness education and supporting our local community and beyond. As future healthcare professionals, caring for communities is fundamental to your career and we aim to foster this sense of responsibility throughout your journey at RCSI Bahrain.
Students, staff and alumni are encouraged to register as Community Volunteers and to actively participate in health awareness events and initiatives, and to support registered charities and causes. Registration forms can be found on the VLE, with a nominal fee of BD5 applicable and each volunteer will receive a Community Engagement t-shirt for use in events and activities.
Students who register as Community Engagement volunteers and actively support initiatives over the course of their academic studies will be eligible to apply for the International Community Engagement (ICE) programme. The ICE programme provides opportunities to visit developing countries to work with international healthcare professionals and provide healthcare services to communities less privileged.
