Library & Learning Resource Centre

Home / Facilities and Services / Library & Learning Resource Centre

The Library & Learning Resource Centre (LLRC), located on the ground floor of the main campus building, serves as the academic support hub for teaching, learning, and research at RCSI Bahrain. The library offers comprehensive access to print and electronic information resources, specialized research databases, study facilities, and expert librarian support services that align directly with curriculum requirements and support academic excellence across all programs.

Our collections include textbooks, reference materials, peer-reviewed journals, and online resources carefully selected to meet the needs of medical and healthcare education. Students and staff benefit from both physical and online services designed to support coursework completion, research projects, clinical studies, and professional development. All currently enrolled students and staff members have full access to library facilities and electronic resources both on campus and remotely through authenticated access systems.

Campus Library (Main Building, Ground Floor)

The Campus Library serves as the primary study and research facility for the university community. Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 midnight, and Friday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 midnight. The facility features an extensive open reading area with a variety of individual study carrels, collaborative group study spaces, and dedicated quiet zones. All study areas offer Wi-Fi connectivity, with select carrels providing wired network access for enhanced connection stability. Individual study spaces operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while group study rooms require advance reservation through the online booking system.

KHAMH Library (King Hamad American Mission Hospital)

The KHAMH Library, located on the 5th floor of the RCSI wing at King Hamad American Mission Hospital, specifically supports students engaged in clinical rotations and off-campus learning activities. This facility operates from Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The KHAMH Library provides access to essential reference materials, full library website functionality, and the complete range of research databases available to RCSI Bahrain users, ensuring continuity of academic support during clinical training periods.
