Important Advice on Textbooks

WAIT BEFORE YOU BUY!

Academic staff strongly advise students NOT to purchase textbooks before arrival.

✔ Review recommended books in the library first

✔ Compare writing styles and formats

✔ Purchase books only once they identify those that best suit their learning style

This helps ensure informed decisions and avoid unnecessary purchases.

Learning Communities Survey

Learning Communities Survey

Home / Orientation / Important Registration Requirements / Learning Communities Survey

For MED YEAR 1 (5 year programme) students only

In preparation for Year 1, we would like to provide you with the option to be grouped with one other student whom you may know.

As you may already know, for the Year 1 Medicine programme, students will be grouped into 4 Learning Communities.  Each Learning Community will have a total of 4 subgroups and it’s in these subgroups; you will live your RCSI journey.

Please complete the this form, if you would like to be grouped with 1 x other student for Year 1.
Please note that groups will be auto assigned across the 4 x Year 1 learning communities, so if you do not wish to be grouped with a particular friend or family member, you are not required to complete this form.

Unfortunately, we are only able to facilitate one grouping request per student. (Unfortunately, we are unable to consider requests for larger groupings).

We would kindly ask that 1 x representative submit this request on behalf of both students to be grouped together.  So, we would be grateful if you can work together to facilitate this.

This form will close on Thursday 3rd September 2026.  (Any requests past this deadline will not be accepted).

Student Development and Wellbeing Department

Medical Screening & Health Report

Following regulations and guidance of the Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Bahrain, and according to RCSI Bahrain policies on General Health, Infectious Diseases Screening and Vaccination of RCSI Bahrain Students and Blood Borne Viruses, all undergraduate students (new applicants and those who are registered) are required to submit evidence of infectious diseases screening and immunization.  Further to Higher Education Council (HEC) requirements, students must be confirmed fit to study.

Summary of infectious disease screening requirements for new students

  • Applicants: Initial screening requirements (Before Arrival in Bahrain)

The Infectious Disease Screening and Immunization Report must be completed in English by a licensed healthcare provider before registration/arrival in Bahrain. You will not be able to complete registration without approval of your health documents.  Infectious disease screening and vaccination should be started once a student receives their offer letter. All parts of this form are to be completed by a licensed healthcare provider.

  • After Registration: Rescreening requirements

Students who have not completed their initial screening (Medical and blood tests- the top section of the form) at either an NHRA healthcare centre in Bahrain, or a Ministry of Health government healthcare facility in a GCC country will require rescreening within 6 weeks after registration.  Vaccinations can be taken in any country. Rescreening requirements will be communicated to students by the Student Health and Wellbeing team.

Note: Non-compliance with the requirements of the RCSI Bahrain medical screening and vaccination programme is in breach of the RCSI Bahrain Student Code of Conduct and can result in referral through the University’s disciplinary process.

Mandatory Attestation of Transcripts and Certificates

Home / Orientation / Important Registration Requirements / Mandatory Attestation of Transcripts and Certificates

All applicants to RCSI Bahrain must be reviewed and approved by Bahrain’s Higher Education Council (HEC) before they can complete their registration.

As part of this process, applicants must provide hard copy documents attested of their high school and university degree (if applicable) as stated in mandatory attestation guidelines in their offer letter.

Email attestbahrain@rcsi-mub.com for further assistance.

Please ensure you have all the required attested original hard copy documents (NOT emails, as requested by the Admissions office and stated in your offer letter) with you. All fully attested documents must be submitted by registration day.

Although we ask for these original documents before starting your studies at the University, we understand that this process can take some time to complete, or that the original certificate may not have been issued by the time the programme starts and alternative submission dates can be arranged in special circumstances.
